故事梗概

Synopsis of the Story

 The birth of this female myth originates from the local indigenous culture and the life experiences of women in Guangdong and Hong Kong. The choice to present it in the form of a myth is intended to ignite a sense of vitality and to rescue the spiritually depleted state of extreme modernization in contemporary society. The story is centered around a sea island called Bridgeport, focusing on the emotional entanglements of three generations from three major families: the Thawing family, the Village Chief family, and the Temple Guardian. It portrays the inheritance and struggle between four "mad women" (Lingdang, Mangyan, Jialiang, and Kawa) within these three generations. The story begins with Lingdang being burned to death by the Village Chief, seemingly planting the seeds of all resentment and revenge in this generation, which will be redeemed and repaid in the next generation.

這個女性神話的誕生是來源於廣東與香港本土神巫文化和女性的生活體驗,之所以是以神話的形式去展現,是因為想要用神話去啟動一種生機,來拯救當代極端現代化的精神衰頹。而故事是以一座名為橋港的海島為基點,以三大家族(開河家族,村長家族和守廟人)三代人的情感糾葛為主,展現的是三代人裏面的四個“瘋女人”(玲鐺,芒雁,嘉良和卡娃)之間的傳承與抗衡。故事從玲鐺被村長帶領族人燒死開始,似乎一切的怨仇都在這一代種下,報復與救贖便在下一代繼續償還。

Auntie killed Auntie
​姑姑殺了姑姑

"She said, "It hurts, it hurts." Suddenly, he felt a tightness in his lower body, and he took a sharp breath. Amidst the her screams, unable to resist his aunt's anger and questioning, he fled back to his divine carriage. She smiled as she watched his aunt's collapse, her eyelids never flinching. Suddenly, a loud tearing sound, like a giant piece of fabric being ripped apart, echoed along with a damp, sticky numbness. A massive white bone emerged, pushing apart numerous symmetrical bones from the fertile ground. The voluptuous breasts were torn apart, with fragments splattering onto the two of them. It was a chilling and scorching sensation, and faced with this fiery explosion, Bohe also broke through that layer of coldness and planted his bones in the midst of that white round moon."

「她說,好痛,好痛。他突然感覺下體被夾緊,他倒抽了一口氣,在女人的尖聲中,他抵不住姑母的憤怒與質問,逃回了他的神車。她笑著看姑姑的崩塌,眼皮都不曾動。驀然間,一聲巨大的布匹撕裂的“呲啦”,混著濕黏的鈍感。一條巨碩的白骨撐開許多對稱的細骨,從那片豐潤的土地裏沖出來。那對豐滿的胸脯被撕碎,碎片濺到二人的身上。那種是刺骨的熱燙,而面對這火熱的爆破,泊河也衝破了那層寒涼,在那輪白色的圓月中種下了他的骨頭。」

神婚

"Many birds gathered around her, spreading their wings to cover her and the child. The wings were often colorful, even belonging to bird species never seen before. They descended from the sky without chirping, gazing at each other with rolling eyeballs and then turning their attention to the people surrounding them, showing no intention to flee. When some villagers tried to catch them with their hands, they discovered that the birds' feathers were slippery and couldn't be grasped, especially the vibrant ones, which felt hot and slippery. Villagers tried to catch the birds with cloth bags, but to their surprise, the birds in the bags immediately died, and their feathers lost their color. After the villagers drove away the flock of birds, they noticed that the surrounding grass had grown long, entwining around the woman's body.

The grass stalks were long and tough, and the villagers struggled to trim them before finally peeling away the grass cocoon. Curiously peering inside, they found that the woman's chest and waist were wrapped thickly with fish scales. Although it created a spectacle for onlookers, some shook their heads, feeling unsatisfied. The witch doctors and shamans arrived, focusing on the child. It was not good for the child to be exposed to the cold while covered in blood. They carefully lifted the child from the woman's embrace, inserting their fingers into the warm blood to pull out several sticky threads. The mother furrowed her brows tightly, her fingers curling and trembling. She couldn't hold her child tightly because of who she was."

「許多鳥圍在她的身邊,伸出翅膀蓋在她和孩子的身上,翅膀多為五彩鮮豔,甚至都是未曾見過的鳥類。它們從空中降下,沒有吱喳,都咕嚕著眼球互相看著,又看向圍上來的人,沒有逃竄的意思。有村民用手逮住了,才發現鳥的羽毛上油滑滑地根本抓不住,尤其是那幾只豔麗的,油光水滑地發燙,有村民拎著布袋跑來抓鳥,沒想到收進袋中的鳥竟直接斷了氣,羽毛也全部褪色。待村人趕走了鳥群,發現周遭的草叢都不知何時長長了許多,抱纏著女人的身體。

草莖長而韌,村民們硬是修剪了許久才剝開了這層草繭。人們好奇地往裏瞧去,只見女人胸前與腰下均上厚厚地裹上魚鱗,雖能圍上來看了一回熱鬧,卻還是有人搖著頭說不過癮。巫醫和神婆都來了,他們管的是孩子,孩子血淋淋的受涼了可不好,他們從女人懷裏抱出來,手指插進溫血里拉出數條黏絲,母親雙眉緊蹙手指蜷曲顫動,她因為是她而無法抱緊她的孩子。

​The Castrated Daughter
閹割而來的女兒

"The child is black, the umbilical cord is black, everything is black, so dark that the features cannot be seen clearly. Originally, a male infant was taken out from the belly, but the grandmother couldn't see clearly and cut off anything that looked like a long object with a knife. The small lump of flesh fell off, and the severed umbilical cord dripped with black blood. The child's wound was stinging from the urine overflowing, and they cried sharply. The grandmother patted the child and said it was a healthy and strong, a lively girl."

「孩子是黑色的,臍帶是黑色的,全部都是黑的,黑到看不清五官。原本從肚中取出來是個男嬰,可祖母實在看不清,一見長條的東西就用刀割下去。小團的肉掉下來,被剪斷的臍帶滴著黑色的血垂下來。孩子的傷口被溢出來的尿刺得作痛,尖銳地哇哇哭著,祖母拍著孩子說孩子健康強壯,是個活潑的女孩。」
